"Thanks," I said. I poured the silver powder in and watched the water turn red. When it did I drank it down. "I'm sorry," I muttered as I finished it.

"Its your medication...you have to take it" I said softly.

I nodded. "I wish I didn't though," I said softly. I wish I were human.

I sat down in a chair. I folded my hands under my chin and spaced out for a minute.

I sighed and sat next to her and wrapped my arms around her. "I don't take back what I said before," I whispered.

"Don't take back what?" I asked in a whisper.

"Everything I said," I said softly. "I want to help in any way that I can."

"I still don't get why you care and why you want to help when you know almost nothing about me...."

"When you see a homeless man on the streets do you not feel sorry for him?" I asked. "This isn't pity though. And it's not love. But it is friendship Lizbet. I liked you from the moment I saw you and I want to help out my friends."

"Do you want to know why I don't want a bed?" I asked.

"Sure," I said softly.

"Because if I walse into my crumbling apartment building with a new bed my manager will think itll be okay to up my rent and he'll...." I paused, "He'll think itll be okay to rape more often in my apartment..." I said the last bit in a whisper

I froze at the last part. A rent I could help with. "I'm gonna kill him," I muttered into her hair. A promise more then anything.

"You can't do that.." I whispered.

"Give me one good, unarguable reason why not," I said in a hard voice.

"You could go to prision for it."

"Not if I don't get caught," I said with a wink.

I looked away from him. "You will and then I'm the who put you there cuz I didnt keep my trap shut."

"No offense but this man raped you. And you're defending him?!" I exclaimed. What was going through her head.

I shivered. "He's something evil...I don't know what..but he's evil........." I whispered

I frowned. "Nothings worse then me," I said softly as I stood.

"I'll just move away or something....." I said softly. I stood up and walked out of the room to go back to work.

I stopped her at the door and grabbed her hand. "You worked hard for this Lizbet," I whispered to her. "I'm just making it right." Then I left.

I dropped to my knees. "Alucard..."I whispered.

I sighed and stopped at the entrance to the book store and turned around. "I have no idea where you live," I said as i kneeled beside her.
