"1225 Elm Street.." Slipped from my lips.

I didn't look at him.

"Lizbet," I said in a harder voice. "Look at me please."

I didn't look at him.

I put my hand under her chin and forced her head to look at me. "Don't look away," I said in a calm voice. I knew what I was doing was morally wrong. But I couldn't help it. She had to forget and live on.
My eyes glazed over and turned golden. MY words were hypnotic in every sense. Seduction at it's finest. No one could resist my voice. "Don't look away until I tell you too."

I looked into his eyes.

"You will forget me," I said softly. "You never knew who I am. If someone mentions my name or face to you you will say, 'Never heard of him' and walk away. YOu never met me at the dinner and if you try to think of who you served there you will only see fog on my face and music in my voice. If you ever see me again you will see me as a stranger. You never told me that your land lord raped you and when the police ask you about it you will say the truth. That he had many enemies and he raped you. Your tongue will slip up the second you meet that cop that asks a question like that and you will tell him everything about it. And one day you will fall in love with the right guy and have his children. You will die a happy old woman. Do you understand Lizbet?"

"no...no..Alucard don't leave me.." i whispered..

I kissed her softly for a few seconds before I pulled away. "You will forget me Lizbet. But on the day that you die I will see you again," I whispered to her. "You will die in your sleep. And before you die you will dream of me. You will remember everything but feel no guilt. You will forget me." Then I stood up. "Good-bye." Then i turned and walked away to kill the man that dared touch a woman in a way that she did not wish.

"Alucard!""

I smiled and turned around. "It's Dracula!" I called before running off to kill. When I was out of sight my spell would start working. Not matter what happened I would make her safe. No one else knew my true name. The name of the vampires.

3 years later:

I took two years of night classes to get a degree in writing. In one year I had published two novels. The first two in my series of six.

It had been three years since I've been here. I don't know why I came back but I did. I had to. The local college's night class was being excused when I drove by on my motorbike.

With the money I got from it I bought myself a house. 2 bedroom,living room, kitchen, dinning room, and etc.

I stopped my bike in front. I was told that she was here. She can't see me. Not again. I made a promise and I meant to keep it. She will never see me again. I just had to make sure that she was on her way through history. On her way to being a healthy human woman.

I still didn't have two thing a human needed to function....the ability to trust and love...but I was stable for now...I saw a shrink twice a week for an hour.

I smiled and got off my bike. I was going to be teaching a seminar on Romanian history soon featuring Vlad the Impaler and the false accusations of how he was a vampire. I parked it and grabbed my stuff. Passing her in a way that she wouldn't see me. However I didn't account for myself falling with an oof.

I held out my hand for the man to take so he could get up.

I took a woman's hand without thinking and looked into her eyes. I swore in my mind. She saw me. She took my hand. "I- uh... I have to go," I said turning and running for the conference room.

"Alucard!" I said. I ran after him.

I slowed down and then finally came to a stop. I turned around and looked at her. "My name isn't Alucard," I said. It was a lie. But she couldn't know me. She couldn't remember me.

"Your lying Alucard. I never forgot you."

I looked at her in shock. I knew that she cried my name when I left her but... I didn't think that it meant that she remembered everything. "You can't," I whispered to her. "You can't remember me Lizbet. You can't."

'Well I do...and I've missed you."
