I didn't really like being in the dark but I would deal with it.

I smiled and heard the door open. There were soft dings of the plates hitting the tables. We were told that our first course had arrived and then the door closed again.

I took a bite. It tasted like raspberry.

I smiled and picked up the little cake. It was light and yet had weight at the same time. I brought it up to my mouth and tasted raspberries. "Yum," I said.

I just nodded and kept eating

I sighed. "You know I can't see you right," I said.

"Sorry....Habit."

I smiled and said, "I'm smiling. What do you think of this? My guess... something raspberry and flacky. A crust and raspberries."

"It's probably a raspberry tart."

I nodded. "MOst likely," I said with a smile.

I finished the last bite.

I licked a raspberry of the tart before eating it all.

I sat back and relaxed while waiting for the next dish.

I smiled and heard a knock at the door. "You done?" I asked.

"Yes."

"Good me too," I said. And then the servers came in with the next plate in the pitch black. There was more clanking and this time they refilled our drinks although we had drank none... or at least I hadn't. There were magnets at the bottom of the water glasses so they couldn't accidently tip over.

I picked it up. It light and flaky. I took a bite.

I picked it up and frowned slightly. I could tell it's shape. I knew what this was. I took a bite out of it and tasted chocolate.

It was chocolate...it was a chocolate crissant. I smiled.

I smiled. This was a big one. "Well this was easy," I said.

"I love crissants. But this is the first time I've had a chocolate one."

I blinked. "Really?" I asked surprised. "I've had these maybe twice before. They're at their best went you pair them with coffee."

"As a child my mom would make the regular ones for supper every night." I admitted.

I smiled. "Home made or the stuff in a can?"

"From scratch."
