Dumped on Valentine's Day(marked by nyx and courtney only)

"Wow," I said in surprise. "That must have been a lot of work. Does she still do that?"

"When she's home she does. You see my mom is an expert French food chef.."

"Really?" I asked surprised more then anything. "Wow." Then I laughed. "Well I should cross off any other french places to go with you. Maybe Italian next time."

"I like eating french food."

I smiled. "Ok," I said. "Uncrossing those places... now."

"Besides my mom has been away for 3 years in a row without a single trip home. Skype and emails help but I still miss her and the smell of French food in the house."

I frowned. "I'm sorry," I said. "Where is she?" Then there was a knock and I called, "Give us a minute."

"No. It's fine. They can come in first."

I sighed and heard the door open. There was more clanging and and then the next one was set down before us. We were told that for this one it would be best if we didn't use our fingers and that we used our forks which were to the left of our plates. Then the door closed and we were alone again.

I picked up my fork and cut a bit off and then took a bite. It was a chocolate cake of sorts.

I found my fork and used it to eat the sweet. It was moist and chocolaty. "Yum."

"It's probably a chocolate cake of sorts."

I nodded. "I agree," I said. "But it's still good."

"However you can have whats left of mine."

"Why?" I asked chewing on my chocolate. "Too much chocolate for you?"

"Just not really a fan of cake if im not in the mood for it."

I sighed. "They why did you say yes?" I asked. "This is a bakery full of cake and chocolate."

"Because you asked me to go as your friend and well I don't get out much..."

I sighed. "But for all I know all the other deserts are going to be some kind of chocolate cake."

I looked down at my lap. "To tell you the truth at this point your my only friend...and this seemed like it would be fun...and be social..."

I didn't know what to say. I was just glad for the darkness because my jaw dropped. This was not turning out how I expected. Then a knock came on the door again.

"Come in" I said to them.

I heard the door open and feet shuffled. There were more clangs of plates being cleared and forks being replaced. We were once again advised to use out forks for this one. Left hand of the plate. I smiled and said thanks as the door closed and the only sounds were of us breathing. I found my fork and decided to eat.

I found my fork and took a bite. It was a white chocolate cake with chocolate on top. I ate this one.

I smiled at ate the cake. I always did love white chocolate. Second to dark.
