She wasn't at risk of being killed. An alpha female is always the most desired in the pack. So when she becomes pregnant she becomes prey, it's how we've lost so many. It's dangerous enough that many have lost their mate because the pack mauled her to death. She was only telling the truth, it was a natural instinct to try and kill the alpha pups before they were born.

I rubbed against him like a cat. Don't worry, I'm keeping my distance. Unfornutaly that means I can't see you for awhile. But they will turn as I do so I can see you immediately after they're born. If Nina isn't too weak.

How? It'll hurt them if she were to change. Unless wanted to talk while they're in their human form. And we can takeover them.
(Can we time skip to where they first find out both of them are pregnant and the alphas have to announce it to the pack and then again to when she has them?)

*About a month later*
N: I went to the doctor to test for pregnancy. We only did it once, but I'd been sick for awhile. When he was back I found out I was and couldn't believe it. I had to rush home because I had snuck out again.
A: I was still in bed.

"Aaron...come on you have to get up you lazy"

I sit on the couch knowing she snuck out again

N: I walked in and smiled at him. "Hey. Sorry I had a doctor's appointment. i think you'll like my news." I said. I sat next to him.
A: I looked at her. "Why?"

"Lay it on me"

"You know why Aaron"

N: "I'm pregnant!" I said.
A: "Remind me."

"You're serious? This isn't an April fools joke?"

"We have to get ready for the doctors appointment again"

N: "I would never joke about having a baby." I said and hugged him.
A: 'Oh right." I smsiled at her.
