No, i'm not saying their the same person. Even if Rephaim did indeed recieve a piece of Kalona's soul, Rephaim would then start growing in a seperate way, Kalona's discarded piece of soul would start developing into Rephaim, with different experiences, different interactions with people. When Rephaim was born i'm not saying he'd be a Kalona miniture, but a child who is very attentive of his father, very loyal and would know things about Kalona without having been told. It's the whole gift principle with Nyx. She never takes back a gift because that gift becomes who that person is, and if you were to take away that gift they wouldn't be them.

I mean don't get me wrong, you're probably right, they've spent centuries together, so their mannerisms are going to be similar. What i want to know is if they've always been together or if Kalona has left Rephaim for dead frequently. If they've always been together, that's huge. I mean Rephaim interacting with Stevie Rae is enormous character development.

Wow, very detailed anaysis. I agree and disagree with both of you. I think that being that Kalona and Rephaim are father and son, their though patterns will be very similar.

Meh, I simply have too much time on my hands and I have a chronic habit of over thinking things. Those quotes I picked were probably just intended to show that subconciously Rephaim mimicks Kalona and that they think in a similar way.

a soul and a gift are two very different things, especially you are born with a soul but not with a gift from nyx. i really like your theory, but i just think that Rephaim imitates his father in several ways. i mean he honor his father, although Kalona didn't treat him very well.

i mean it is a nice idea and i ike it, but there were never examples for a soul-transforming like that (i think the traveling to Otherworld is another case).

So what do you think will happen with Stark? Stark now has a small piece of Kalona's soul. I think there will be consequences with that.

if he has, i guess that would explain why Z and him has problems in their relationship (like it's written in one of the summarys for awakened). maybe he has aggressive temperament now? but he didn't seemed like he have when he woke up in Otherworld after Kalona healed him...

i mean, it might not have any influence at all, but I would think that something like that would would have some kind of affect.

But Stark now has a piece of Kalona's soul, that would totally affect Rephaim (or least i think so), especially if Kalona lies about it and tries to cover it up.

Alrighty. What about Rephaim's current orders to capture Stevie Rae? How does anyone else think it will affect their relationship?

i think he has to be remembered on that, cause otherwise he would have told her about his job when he felt that Kalona returned.

I think it'll have a huge effect on their relationship and the story. Whether Rephaim will use it as an excuse to seek Stevie Rae out or if he'll avoid her because of it.

i think he's not able to avoid her for a long time. i mean, they're imprinted, he's drawn to her, not just because of his feelings for her. so when the kidnapping would be a theme in the next book, he will use it as an excuse

He can't harm her anyway. Didn't he vow to keep her safe or something?

I'm not sure about that. He championed her and claimed her as his own, but I don't think he gave her a vow of protection

I wonder if that has any significance. Rephaim seemed to act as though it did, but perhaps he was just thinking about the emotional significance instead. However, i could be wrong.

i just thought that he acted like a boyfriend would. just like Dallas did, he called SR "his girl" and Rephaim used the expression "my own" for her, but i don't think he would really try to own her, cause he already knows how she thinks about free will and such.

I think that it will have some kind of significance in the end.
